About the Author
Jennifer Kennedy Dean is executive director of the Praying Life Foundation and a respected author and speaker. She is the author of numerous books, studies, and magazine articles specializing in prayer and spiritual formation. Her book, Live a Praying Life, has been called a flagship work on prayer. She is a board member for Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, a member of America’s National Prayer Committee, and a member of National Professional Women Association. Jennifer was widowed in 2005 after 26 years of marriage to Wayne Dean, her partner both in life and ministry. They are the parents of three grown sons. Jennifer makes her home in Marion, Kentucky.

I was prepared to really like this book - but not prepared for how much! My usual reaction to a JKD book is to read something - marvel at the simple-yet-deeper way she sees it - and then think "Duh! Of course!" This book was full of those moments. :) Great mind-twirling stuff.
My husband and I are conducting a Facebook discussion on this book using FB's "secret group" feature. New technologies have created so many deep friendship of people you'd love to sit around your kitchen table and share with - but no way to make it happen. Facebook to the rescue. I'll let y'all know how it goes. We are really excited.

Best Devotional Ever

Having used many devotional through the years, I can share that this is the best ever. Jennifer Kennedy Dean hears God and He has given her the gift of words to convey His Word to us. She brings in-site into Scripture and makes it understandable and a blessing each of the 28 days of the devotions. She will stretch your relationship with God to new heights. I purchased 3 additional copies to share with family and friends so they could be blessed also.

I love the way Jennifer Dean explains the "small" in each chapter and then she ends with a prayer which consists of 5 words or less that sums up that chapter. It is a whole different way of thinking "small". I loved it!!!
