About the Author
Rogelio "Roy" Dominguez is a practicing attorney in Gary, Indiana. He served as a Deputy Prosecutor and was appointed chair of the Worker's Compensation Board by Governor Evan Bayh. After establishing a successful law practice, Dominguez was Sheriff of Lake County from 2002 to 2010.
James B. Lane is Professor Emeritus of History at Indiana University Northwest, co-director of the Calumet Regional Archives, editor of Steel Shavings magazine, and author of numerous books, including "City of the Century": A History of Gary, Indiana (IUP, 1978).

Not the Real Truth

As an active member of the Lake County Police Department I am embarassed that this man was our Sheriff. I cant speak for the period of the book where Roy is growing up but the part as Sheriff has alot of inaccurate statements or accounts of what happened during his watch as Sheriff
