She is also a writer, having authored several books on Northern New Mexican culture, shrines, saints and churches including: Built of Earth and Song: A guidebook to Northern New Mexico's Village Churches; Living Shrines: Devotional Spaces in Northern New Mexico Homes; Santos, A Coloring Book of New Mexico Saints (also from Sunstone Press); and her memoir about growing up in Santa Fe, Tortilla Chronicles.

LOWRIDER BLUES is a collection of short stories--some real, some fictional--and Marie Cash's writing is wonderful. The types of people one meets in this book come to life with her writing, and whether her stories are humorous or poignant, each conveys something that has touched all our lives.
In addition to being a published author (see her other listings on Amazon), Ms. Cash is a distinguished Santera who has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Mexico Endowment for the Humanities, and has been honored by New Mexico Women in the Arts.
I highly recommend Lowrider Blues as an interesting, delightful read.
