She lives in the St. Louis area but enjoys traveling to every corner of the nation speaking at all kinds of conferences and events. Rhonda says her favorite and most adventurous roles are as wife to Richie Rhea, senior pastor of Troy First Baptist Church, and as mom to her five nearly grown children.

Laughed and Cried

I knew that Rhonda Rhea was a very funny lady before I bought this book. I expected to laugh. I didn't expect to drop tears on some of the pages, but that is what happend. Thankfully, the book is printed with a high quality paper and the words didn't smear. I don't care how long you've been a believer, Rhonda's words will give you a gentle kick in the pants to stop hiding in darkness. Very good stuff!

Another Rhonda Rhea Winner!

I've been reading Rhonda's work (books and articles) since early 2004 and have absolutely NO DOUBT that her latest endeavor, "How Many Lightbulbs Does It Take To Change A Person?" will be as informative and entertaining as her other works. Always biblically based with a generous dose of humor, her writing teaches as well as entertains. I'm looking forward to reading this one once it's released tomorrow!
I've finished reading this book and I can say I was not at all disappointed! This book differs from most of Rhonda's other books; this one is filled with scripture references to uplift and give hope. Rhonda's previous works were very lighthearted and funny--quick reads. Not so with "How Many Lightbulbs...". This book is one to read a bit and chew on, like savoring fine chocolate. Still filled with Rhonda's unmistakable humor, Rhonda uses scripture to reveal applications to integrate God's Word into the very depths of our everyday lives, no matter what the circumstances.
I found this book to be well-written, well-documented and worthy of my reference shelf. It already has marks on some of the pages of passages that are especially relevant to me.
If you are truly seeking direction and want to grow in your walk with God, this book is a must-have for you.

Very Enlightening!

There are nearly 300 references to light in the Bible, and Rhonda Rhea uses many of these to point the reader to the light of Jesus Christ. How Many Lightbulbs Does It Take To Change A Person?: Bright Ideas For A Delightful Transformation is a wonderful read for the darker days of Winter. Rhonda's delightful sense of humor as she shares both personal stories and enlightening Scripture brings many rays of hope and encouragement. By pointing the way to Christ, the true Light-Bearer, we learn to how He can transform our lives. In turn, by letting Christ shine in us, we make help to make a difference in the lives of others.
The book is divided into 5 different sections, and has a total of 25 chapters. Small group discussion questions are also included at the end of the book. By reading and studying this with others, it will also shed more light on ways to apply this to your life and be transformed. All living things need LIGHT if they are going to GROW!! This is a very good book and I believe it will brighten your week to spend some time reading it.
